The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition is a versatile sportbike that perfectly balances sporty performance with everyday practicality. The "KRT Edition" signifies that the bike features the official Kawasaki Racing Team's livery and graphics, giving it a race-inspired look. Unlike a full-blown supersport like the ZX-6R, the Ninja 650 is designed with a more relaxed riding position and a more user-friendly engine, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of riders, from daily commuters to weekend canyon carvers.

Engine and Performance
Engine Type: 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, parallel-twin, DOHC, 8-valve.

Power: The engine produces a claimed 67 horsepower and 48.5 lb-ft of torque. It's a very responsive engine with a strong, predictable powerband, particularly in the low-to-mid RPM range, which is ideal for street riding.

Fuel System: DFI (Digital Fuel Injection) with dual 36mm Keihin throttle bodies ensures a smooth and consistent throttle response.

Transmission: A 6-speed transmission with a sealed chain final drive. It also features a clutch with Assist and Slipper functions. This means the clutch pull is very light and it helps to prevent rear wheel lock-up during aggressive downshifts, a great feature for both new and experienced riders.

Chassis and Handling
Frame: The Ninja 650 is built on a lightweight trellis frame made of high-tensile steel. This frame design contributes to its nimble handling and a low curb weight.

Suspension:

Front: 41mm hydraulic telescopic fork with 4.9 inches of travel.

Rear: Horizontal back-link with a monoshock that is adjustable for preload, offering 5.1 inches of travel. The suspension is tuned for a comfortable ride but is capable of handling spirited riding as well.
